Starsand Island is the newest life/farming sim on the block, and it’s off to a great start over on Steam, where it’s holding a 92% “Very Positive” rating with players. Sadly, the game is only available on the PC and Xbox platforms currently, but the developers have confirmed the game will come to the Nintendo Switch 2 in the future.

To celebrate the launch of the game into Early Access, the team has released a launch trailer, which you can view below:

Like many life/farming sims, Starsand Island starts off with the protagonist tired of their daily grind in the city. Seeking a freer and more fulfilling life, they move to Starsand Island to start a farm and enjoy the simpler things.

You’ll be able to grow crops, fish, raise animals, take on monsters in the depths of the island, and maybe even find that special someone.

Starsand Island is due to release later in 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2. The game is available now on Xbox and Steam.
