Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen Coming to Nintendo Switch, February 27th

There were rumblings that Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen from the Game Boy Advance might receive some sort of news around this year’s Pokémon Presents at the end of February, but the news has come a little earlier than expected.

There was also hope that these titles would be included in the GBA Virtual Console app for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers, but alas, the 2 Pokémon games will be launching as separate digital releases on the Nintendo eShop for $19.99 each on February 27th, 2026.

For those hoping to get a physical re-release, there’s no such luck in the West either, with only Japan receiving a physical box, and even then, no game card is included, just a code.

Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen launch February 27th on the Nintendo Switch. Bear in mind that for some reason, different languages are bizarrely available as separate games, so make sure you choose correctly between English, French, or Spanish when purchasing.
