Astroneer, the co-operative space survival game, received its first paid DLC on Nintendo Switch last year, but the developers just dropped a surprise: the game’s second paid DLC, Megatech, will be launching on Nintendo Switch tomorrow, February 25th, 2026, after releasing last year on PC and other consoles.

The Megatech DLC adds the Orbital Platform megastructure, allowing players to create their own mini asteroid, as well as the Biodome megastructure, which allows for the cultivation of a variety of flora.

The DLC also adds the Museum, which seems to operate in much the same way as the museums in games like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley, where you can donate resources/materials in exchange for rewards.

The Megatech DLC for Astroneer on Nintendo Switch launches on February 25th, 2026. There’s no store page for the DLC yet, but you can buy Astroneer for $29.99 on the eShop.
